I had a chance to drive to Devil’s Lake alone, while Lena and Anne were enjoying Door County, and Liza was at Isa’s. The plan was to try HDR techniques in landscape photos. Result: nothing special, photos look like garden variety postcards from the 70s. The walk was great though, despite the trails being seriously crowded. I guess the only way to see that park with no crowds is to visit it on a weekday mid-February.
This is fantastic! The overall colorlessness of the picture, with the pop from the trees and rocks, all of it makes for Ghibli level composition. If this is what postcards looked like in the 70s, I’d like to start collecting them.
Ghibli level? Wow. Thank you!
